EXT. FRONT DOOR - AFTERNOON

This is where ADELINE lives with her parents and her sibling. The door opens and ADELINE comes out with a tote bag on her shoulder. ADELINE then closes the door and walks towards the parking lot with car keys ringing.

Cut to:

EXT. ADELINE’S CAR - AFTERNOON

She opens the door of the car and then gets in, she pulls out of the parking lot and drives away. TITLE APPEARS.

Cut to: 

INT. ADELINE’S CAR - AFTERNOON

ADELINE remains focused on the road as she drives to the park a couple roads down. Once she arrives, she parks and gets out.

Cut to:
EXT. PARK - AFTERNOON

ADELINE walks to a tree and sits down with her back to it. She looks in her bag and takes out a sketch book and begins sketching for a couple minutes. She hears footsteps and stops drawing. She looks up, only to see a family playing around. She looks visibly paranoid and frustrated. She gets up and walks to the car and gets in. The car then drives off.

Cut to:

INT. ADELINE’S CAR - AFTERNOON

ADELINE is in the car driving back home, zoning out, thinking about something. She gets to a red light and the car stops.

Cut to:

INT. ADELINE’S BEDROOM - AFTERNOON

ADELINE is surround by her sketches, some torn, ripped, and some intact. A doll sits by. She is distressed about something, she speaks to the doll.

ADELINE:

(To the doll)

Should I set you on fire?

You know what they say about those who play with fire?

You play with it because you want to be burnt. 

Whispers could be heard but is ineligible. ADELINE grabs her sketches and starts cutting them and tearing some to throw into the fire.

ADELINE:

(To self)

Why do people fear such a memorizing thing?

ADELINE looks annoyed, the fire crackles, no one answered her. She picks up the knife and stares at it for a bit. She then turns her attention the doll, raises her hand, and throws the knife in the direction of the doll.

Cut to:

INT. ADELINE’S CAR - AFTERNOON

A car honking can be heard, ADELINE is startled. She looks at road and sees the green light, she begins driving again. After a while she reaches her destination and gets out of the car and closes the door.

Cut to:

INT. ADELINE’S BEDROOM - AFTERNOON

ADELINE opens the door to her bedroom only to see a mess. She sighs and looks around to see where to begin. She puts her bag down and starts to clean her room, there is pieces of paper around the room, clothes on the floor and bed. After she is almost done, her phone goes off with a notification. She gets up to read it, and she replies back.

Cut to:

EXT. BEACH - NIGHT

ADELINE walks on the shore waiting for someone, she looks uneasy. Her phone goes off and she rushes to get her phone from her pocket, she read it and tears up. She looks at people around, they are with at least someone else. She lets out a shaky sigh and starts to walk, leaving.

Cut to:

INT. ADELINE’S BEDROOM - AFTERNOON

ADELINE stares at the doll, she breaks down and looks frustrated. She grabs her hair in frustration as she almost falls onto the floor. She stands up again and throws things on the floor in a fit of anger, she picks up the doll and throws it to the wall. She crashes to the floor after and curls up, she tries to calm down. A notification sounds from her phone, she picks it up, looks at it, and then throws it.

INT. ADELINE’S KITCHEN - AFTERNOON

Red liquid is on the floor, looks like something was spilled. ADELINE’s shoes are stained red as well, her sleeves and shirt is also stained red. There are splatters of the liquid are also on her face. She didn’t know how to cut a pomegranate, so the red liquid was everywhere, a mistake. Her phone goes off and turns her attention to it but nothing comes from it. She continues what she is doing, she then eats the pomegranate seeds and leaves.
