Creative Critical Reflection (CCR)

Image
Bye Bye! I answer the questions while doing my makeup. I am not that good at my makeup but it is something I do when I'm bored. These projects are the most intensive and different projects I ever had in the past years. It's something different and I like it, espicailly since I learned so many new skills that I honestly wanted to learn. I am happy with the product and how we used angles and shots to convey a story. This has also pushed me out my confort zone. I am typically a shy and reserved person, I don't like being on camera but this definitely pushed me to get out of that shell I have been in. I would tell people to at least try it once even if it is a ton of work. I would 100% do this again because I want to be better editing and filming. But this is it for the time being, maybe I return. Farewell! Signing off, Kay.

Our short film! (Final Task)

Here! After through much difficulty my partner and I have completed out short film. Didn't goes as plan, but we had to push through. We are plesantly surpised and happy about the end result. Signing off, Kay.

Last Minute Changes

Image
We made a mistake There are a few changes that my partner and I had to make. For example, we had to change the title cards. We also had to reshoot some things because we had to make changes to the title cards. We had placed them in the wrong spots. We also realized that we were missing some things. Mostly, we made some changes to the storyboard. For example, the first scene we did not get to do because we did not have the necessary lighting. We did have the second scene from the storyboard, which was a girl at her desk with a computer open and on the phone. That was an easy scene to do, so was the 3rd and 4th scene. We included both scene 3, which was the girl closing the door, and scene 4 which was the split screen of 4 friends talking about the murder. Scenes 5-15 was cut out for the purpose of the time restraint. The other scenes were either cut out of the film that my partner and I mad, or was reordered to fit the new scene that we were filming. Now, we are just fixing the scenes t

Done!

Done, Finally! We are done! Luckily we finished on time and we are pretty happy with the results. Right now, we are going to go into a little more detail on the editing. Next time we are going into the details on what things we cut from the final and among other things. But right now, editing, which wasn't as difficult. We had both agreed in the beginning that we both wanted to help with the editing since in out opinion it would take the longest. Which it did, no surpirse. Also, we ran into other unexpected issues. Throughout this entire thing we were worried that we went over the time limit to which we did. We had gone over by around 5 to 10 seconds. Luckily we knew what to cut in order for everything to work out right. To start off what we did first what put the footage in order and try to organize it basically. To which we did, time to time this be came confusing because of how Adobe Premire Pro works but we kept going. For the majority of transitions we used the effect "D

Almost!

We are almost done! As of writing this we are almost finished. We had completed filming around a week ago. Now we are so close to finish editing. Like we said previously, we were to continue adding the footage together so then we can make it easier when it came to transitions and audio. We have put in the title cards, and are only missing a few. For the title cards that we have done, we have added transitions for a couple to the title cards and only a footage is left to edit and put together. Right now we are moving things around, because we are slightly worried about the time limit but so far we haven't crossed it. But again there is that slight worry! We do have a way around it if it were to happen. We have sort of an idea of which scenes we can cut from the footage. We also can speed up footage and cut down some footage in order to make time. We have thought on it, just in case if it happens. Right now we aren't over the limit but again we still have footage to add. That foo

The editing continues!

Editing is still going! As of writing this we are almost done with editing. But since we got some footage late editing took a bit longer than expected. We are ecpected to finish editing on Wednesday, April 5th. The next blog will most likely highlight that we finished editing. The one after that will highlight which things changed. As for what has been edited we will get into that right now. We did mention we had edited the footage we got from the park, we have also edited the footage of the actors in the call. Right now we are truly debating on whether we should add subtitles but we will see to that more later on. We decided to add music to the title cards and other possible scenes. Right we are just cutting scenes and adding transitions. For instance we added glitches to the call, it adds this sense of unsettling emotion. In editing sense it makes scenes blend together much smoother.  We are slightly worried about the amount of time. Both of us we agreed that we would edited it toge
