That's a wrap!

Action! It finally begins.

So, filming started on October 5th and finished the same day! Which is fantastic because we have so much more to do. Let me give you a run down of the circumstances and a couple issues our group ran into. Before setting a date we had difficulty setting a date since we are all busy but we found out that 2 of us were able to go film that day. Two of us weren't able to go since we ran into problems but we avoided that issue. There was only one actor, they were a sister of our group member Sara S; who was the person also provided for the doughnuts we needed that day. The first scene was shot on a beach, but my group ran into a couple issues already. The sand was uneven so the simple location was to move to a new location, which was on a sidewalk with the beach in the background and a palm tree overhead. So the location was fixed, but we soon realized that it was odd to shot a close up of the actor. In order for now to be odd we just used a long shot instead which turned out well.

We switched to a different scene which was a white wall, we used that to our advantage and used it as a white background. We took the first 3 scenes here, which was the actor looking bored, the box of doughnuts, and the actor eating one of the doughnuts. In order to film the actor looking bored, we used a medium shot from eye level. The next scene felt awkward, this was the actor reaching for the doughnut, so we used a tracking shot from a high angle; we used this instead of just using a straight shot of the actor eating the doughnut. We took extra shots just in case we needed them, and if we realized something late we could possibly use one of those extra shots. We used a title of the actor eating the doughnut and as well as a POV of the actor eating the doughnut. Luckily we were able to finish considering all the challenges each member faced. We all had pressure even though some of us weren't there, for instance I wasn't able to go due to certain circumstances. From what my group members said, it went well and they got to enjoy the doughnuts after which made me kind of jealous. They deserved it, after the filming and the hard work they did! That's a wrap!

Signing off,

Kay.
