Intro Blog : Music Video

Hello, I'm back! 

My name is Kaylie Estrada-Menjivar, but my friends call me Kay. This time I'm ack with a 2nd project and that is a music video. I'm kind of scared but excited at the same time because I do love music but I think personally I'm not creative. There are times that I can't sleep due to me having creative outbursts in order for me to sleep I just draw something and hope it goes well. But again I am skeptical because I need to be smart with the song I am choosing in my opinion. I might be going to New York so I might use that to my advantage in a way. I have so many ideas but I need to travel for them. I do enjoy traveling because you get to experience different cultures and possibly learn different languages. Not to mention the food and the overall culture, it sounds amazing. The amazing different places such as Japan, South Korea, Albania, and Malta.


Since, I can’t really travel, I travel in video games! I know this sounds weird but think about an open world rpg game, I think about a game called Genshin Impact. It is a game that has a story line but also has an open world, you get to travel across different kingdoms and unlock these diverse places. Different kingdoms have different elements or a different aspect. It is such a nice thing because to me it is a like a stress reliever because it distracts you from the real world and its problems. This also applies to different video games, it distracts me from my problems for a certain amount of time and to me that is everything. This is why I love them so much. This also the same concept for music. It changes my emotion depending on the mood of the song; it is truly such an amazing thing. I do try to have an open mind to music and because of that fact it has brought me so much joy to my life, I discovered K-Pop in such a difficult time of my life and it helped me. My friends also try to introduce me to new music and sometimes I like it or you know, I don’t sometimes but I keep that to myself.

Storyboard

My storyboard of the girl next door! Scene 1: This will be the first scene and this is where the main actor will appear. It will fade in from black to sync with the audio since it also fades in. It will be at eye level and it will be a close up to show to emphases the subject's eyes because of a lyric "red eyes". The set will be a road in order to cut into the next scene. Scene 2: After it cuts away from the close up we move into a medium long shot at eye level. The actor will be drinking a cherry coke and be stumbling along the road. The medium long shot is to show that she is still wearing the same clothes according to the lyrics. Scene 3: This scene she is up against the bedroom door looking distress. This will be at eye level and it will start at as a close up then zoom out in order to transition into the next scene. She is in this position because she is wondering about a certain thing, that thing being something unpleasant. Scene 4: The next scene will pan into her...

Almost!

We are almost done! As of writing this we are almost finished. We had completed filming around a week ago. Now we are so close to finish editing. Like we said previously, we were to continue adding the footage together so then we can make it easier when it came to transitions and audio. We have put in the title cards, and are only missing a few. For the title cards that we have done, we have added transitions for a couple to the title cards and only a footage is left to edit and put together. Right now we are moving things around, because we are slightly worried about the time limit but so far we haven't crossed it. But again there is that slight worry! We do have a way around it if it were to happen. We have sort of an idea of which scenes we can cut from the footage. We also can speed up footage and cut down some footage in order to make time.
