The Editing Ends!
Lighting is everything in my opinion!
This the second half of editing. To say the least I mainly focused on the lighting, the length and height of the video, plus the effects that it make it look like a VHS. So the first thing I did was change the color. I upped the temperature and saturation. I also lowered the tint as well in order to make it look kind of soft. Now the lighting, which I need to get right. Let's start with the first thing I raised which is the contrast. The thing I didn't change was the highlights and shadows since it didn't look right when I raised it or lowered it. But I did lower the whites more than the blacks in order to achieve the soft look with just the lighting. I did this with every clip so it looks the same and no clips look out of place.
The next thing I did in order to enhance that it looks like it was filmed by a vintage camera. So I added Noise which made the video have a grainy look to it. I also found that Channel Blur worked well. It added a semi blur that isn't strong that doesn't affect the footage. I did this to every clip but there was a couple of clips where I did alter the values in some of this. After I did that, I did move around some of the clips because I didn't put the takes to match up with the lyrics sometimes. Plus some of them just needed to be fixed in general.
I tried to add affects and play around with the resources that Adobe gave me. Spoiler alert, it didn't go well! Since, the program is 10 times more confusing than anything I know, I rather deal with math in my opinion but that's a story for another day.
Signing Off,
Kay.
