The Filming Ends!

That is a wrap!

Today was difficult. I mentioned the last time that I thought it wasn't going to be as difficult but I was proven horribly wrong. Today I was filming the shots that are inside of a bedroom of the actor and the one that has to do with the door and mirror. I will go in order from which ones I filmed. The first scene was the one of her up against the door. This then it panning into her room to show her room that is completely untouched. The scene of the actor up against the door was fairly easy it took around 5 takes which wasn't bad. The room panning into her room and it panning around to show her room, I think was the easiest today which took around 2-3 takes. The camera then stops at the window and I cut it there. I then record around 10 second video of the window which then I will add text through editing. The next scene was the sunset and it getting dark which can easily be filmed so I am not worried about it. The next scene is her in her bedroom it looks like she half asleep. I had minor problems with this one but they were easily fixed.

The next shot is her on the floor but her head is on the top of the bed. Then zooms out and shows her messy room. I did 2 versions of this; the raw footage of it zooming it out or standing from the distance then editing in a zoom later on. This took I think on of the longest but this was the calm before the storm. When doing the research I knew for a fact that then scene with the mirror was going to take time but not as long as it did. It took an hour to film and yet after filming I am unsure about it. I had to figure out what angle was the best for the mirror and what would be best for the actor. This was challenging but at the end of the day we took around 20-25 takes of this and decided to move on in order not waste anymore time. The next scene is the actor realizing its her and it is a close up. She looks done with herself in this scene and has no words to say. This then concludes the filming, I just need to upload everything up to the editing software I'm using and edit it.

Signing Off,

Kay.
